           The six lots, owned by the Aboriginal Land Trust Society.
           The application is through the Rapid Deployment of Non-Market Housing Program (RDP)    link
           The height is consistent with the Official Community Plan (OCP)
            MVCCA was asked by Planning to comment on the project by Dec. 20 2024

            Referral includes the following preliminary details:
                   – unit mix of:  39 one bedrooms, 41 two bedrooms, 24 three bedrooms
                   – underground parking 47 residents stalls,  5 visitor stalls  ( .5 stalls per unit – approx.)

        Timeline
      3 Dec. 2024  received notice of application from Saanich Planning Dep’t and a referral form
                (request for MVCCA comments by Dec. 20)
      6 Dec received answers to questions sent to Thomas Kempster – Saanich Planning 
    10 Dec. received notice of project Open House to be held the next day
    11 Dec. attended Open House   5:30-7:30 pm, Songhees Wellness Centre in Esquimalt
    17 Dec. submitted comments to Saanich Planning (copied to developer) 
    18 Dec. Saanich Planning confirmed there is no procedure in place to request that Saanich pay for needed improvements which could have been paid for with CAC contributions.23 Jan. 2025 MVCCA representatives meet with project Lu’ma Development representative
