The role of MVCCA is changing as a result of new provincial legislation. Many redevelopment projects will not require a re-zoning application or a Public Hearing. Community engagement is still valuable, and MVCCA will meet with developers at any stage of the process to encourage dialog. For current applications see Saanich’s: – Permit and Development Tracker – or refer to: – SaanichMap – which links from a specific property to Planning Dep’t applications. – Small-Scale Multi-Unit Housing (SSMUH) -projects are issued a Residential Building Permit. MVCCA has prepared a wish list of local improvement ideas.
