Saanich

The role of MVCCA is changing as a result of new provincial legislation. Many redevelopment projects will not require a re-zoning application or a Public Hearing. Community engagement is still valuable, and MVCCA will meet with developers at any stage of the process to encourage dialog. Pre-application and ‘In Process’ rezoning – current to: 4 March 2025

  • Cadillac Ave. 81,83,85,89,95 and 3691 Wascana St. six lots to construct 6 story building, 104 units of non-market rental housing under the Rapid Deployment of Non-market Housng Program (RDP)
  • Carey Rd, 3950 (6 Mile Bakery) Abstract Developments rezoning to comply with existing use
  • Dupplin Rd. 535 construction of mixed use building (industrial and accessory residential unit)
  • Nora Place, 591 subdivision to create two lots – last update 2019
  • Oak St. 3311 and 816 Cloverdale Ave. rezoning, mixed use towers pre-application stage
  • Raymond St. South, 3656 and 307/309 Brunswick Pl – Métis Nation BC six storey, mixed use
  • Tennyson Ave., 3304-08, 3312 – two lots, rezoning to M-1DW Zone to construct 8 storey mixed use light industrial and commercial building
