Community Building

Issues in the community can often be resolved by finding the correct level of government to contact.

Many of the roads in our area, are the responsibility of the Province. The Galloping Goose trail is administered by the Capital Regional District. If you have questions about a re-development project you can contact Saanich Planning department.

Graffiti and vandalism   – Who to contact depends on its location.

Parking enforcement now completely handled by Saanich
phone 250 475 5431   or email to    [email protected]
The system of complaint-driven parking enforcement is not sufficient to the changing needs of Saanich urban areas.  The street parking problem is cumulative and wide spread. Sending specific issues to the Administrative Traffic Committee (ATC) will not be enough.  MVCCA supports the regulation and enforcement of street parking limits via a set of parking enforcement officers  – as is done in Victoria.  A system of fines would pay for itself.
